Simple steps to protecting yourself online

I know you are thinking of clicking onto something else already but please carry on… I might even do a top ten list further on.

My name is Joel and I am the Head of Products and Services at The Armour Group. I have worked with computers all my working life and picked up a lot of help, tips and advice over the past 25 years… yes, I am that old and I do remember computers before Windows.

In today’s technological landscape your personal information and opinions are valuable commodity to not just to businesses but governments and organised crime. The cost to you is not just the time it takes to fix it, the disruption to your life, but it could also have an impact on your money.

I have found that the biggest problem with protecting yourself online is understanding what you can do to help stop this. I’ve tried to keep these tips as easy to put into action with little or no cost. But it will mean you might have to change some habits and we all know that these can be the hardest things to change. Having been there myself it is not going to be that bad, I promise!

Over the coming months I hope that I will be able to show you some simple and easy ways to start protecting your personal information while using your computer and especially online and even make things easier for you to track where your information is stored.

Thank you for your time, next month I plan to show you how to protect your email addresses.
